Building Together Investment

About This Investment

The Foundation's Building Together investment represents the largest gift in the University of Maryland's history and one of the largest given to a public research institution in the 21st century. The Foundation's goal was to propel the University of Maryland and the A. James Clark School of Engineering to the forefront of education and research worldwide, establishing the Clark Scholars Program, Clark Doctoral Fellows, Clark Opportunity Transfer Scholars, Clark Leadership Chairs, Clark Distinguished Chairs and the Maryland Promise Program, among other projects. These investments aimed to increase college access and affordability, spark innovations that tackle the daunting problems facing the nation and inspire the next generation of engineering leaders.
