Children’s National Hospital Launches Pediatric Drive-Up COVID-19 Specimen Collection Site

Children’s National has opened a drive-up/walk up location where primary care doctors in the Washington, D.C. region can refer young patients for COVID-19 specimen collection and testing.

Primary care doctors can refer children through young adults up to age 22 for COVID-19 specimen collection/testing. This is the first such drive-up site to open in Washington, D.C.

The A. James & Alice B. Clark Foundation is investing in local health care providers to improve the quality of perinatal and early pediatric health care for families in Washington, DC. ‘For black and brown boys’ | This DC school is changing the way students of color are educated

When Statesmen College Preparatory Academy was enrolling students for the fall of 2018, Kevin and Satira Corbitt weren’t completely sold on the new school.

“It was a startup and what we know about startups is, it’s hard. Those first couple of years, you don’t have any cred. There’s no history. No test scores,” Satira said.

After several meetings with Statesmen’s founders, the Corbitts decided to take a risk and let their oldest son, Kiye, be part of the school’s inaugural class.
